Cystic Fibrosis, Cystic Fibrosis—Related Diabetes, and Adolescence A Case StudySeattle Children's Hospital, Division of Pulmonary Medicine, Seattle, Washingtonsusan, casey{at}seattlechildrens.org This is a case study depicting the complications of managing cystic fibrosis and cystic fibrosis—related diabetes with the challenges of biological family dysfunction. It illustrates the variability of severity within the diagnosis of cystic fibrosis, as well as the fact that, despite multiple challenges, this adolescent is able to maintain a normal nutritional status and progress to better self-management.
